To hold the Facial Beauty point, apply the pressure gradually, pressing slightly upward onto the bottom of your cheekbone. Hold the point for a few minutes, then release the pressure gradually. You can hold it either on both sides at once, or one side at a time.
This point has many tremendous health benefits including: clearing the mind and a stuffy nose, relieves eye pain and irritations, swelling around the eyes, facial wrinkles, pressure in the head, headaches, sinus pain, nasal congestion, temporary toothache relief, and facial paralysis.
If you want to learn Self-Acupressure to manage wrinkles, premature aging, sagging skin, and facial blemishes, check out the
Acu-Face Lift Beauty Workbook (available both as a printed booklet and a downloadable eBooklet). It includes 10 facial exercises, which are fully illustrated with 20 photos and many line drawings. It also includes extra sections on headache relief, acne relief, sinus relief, and jaw problems.
With aging, the connective tissue is weakened, resulting in sagging skin and wrinkles. Acupressure facial points both tone and relax facial muscles and strengthen the connective tissue, which attaches the skin to the muscles.
The effectiveness of these facial techniques — using Acupressure points, deep breathing, and facial exercises — results from combining these complementary self-treatment practices. Go for greater health and beauty!
