Reflexology with Acupressure
Reflexology hands and feet points stimulate the nerve endings, which send healing messages to all parts of the body via neurological pathways. Walking on the Earth barefoot and massaging the bottom of your feet is highly therapeutic.
Acupressure points have similar comprehensive benefits, which stem from balancing the body’s life energy through a system of Meridian pathways. This healing energy — known as Chi, Qi, or Ki — functions to nourish all parts and systems of the body.
When you combine Reflexology and Acupressure, the energies that are released join forces to heal the body, resulting in increased effectiveness. The integration of Reflexology and Acupressure Therapy creates a more efficient, holistic healing practice.
In a self-care healing session, using Reflexology and Acupressure together will enhance Reflexology’s superb health benefits. Scroll down to find helpful resources that will show you how, including a Booklet and Charts.
For healing professionals, when a Reflexology practitioner integrates Acupressure points and techniques, then a powerful level of healing occurs. If a client has difficulty digesting certain foods, for instance, holding the stomach Reflexology point on the foot with one hand and working on the Stomach Meridian points with the other hand will increase the effectiveness.
Another holistic approach is to work on a pair of blocked Meridians, then ground the client with foot Reflexology points toward the end of the treatment to further balance the body.
