Acupressure relieves pain, relaxes muscular tension, and balances the vital life forces of the body using a system of trigger points. Discover how pressing two Acupressure points on the top of the feet stimulates the release of neuro-chemicals called endorphins.
The mechanism of endorphins is similar to morphine, in that both mitigate pain and encourage relaxation. However, endorphins are manufactured naturally by the body to promote healing. Acupressure points Lv 3 and GB 41 activate this pain relief mechanism, enabling the body to produce its own natural painkillers.
Bigger Rushing (Lv 3) is located on the top of the foot, in the groove between the first and second metatarsal bones.
Above Tears (GB 41) is also on the top of the foot, in the groove between the fourth and fifth metatarsal bones.
To stimulate these pain relief Acupressure points on the top of your foot, press gradually in between the bones until it “hurts good.” To relieve foot, leg, and hip pain and cramping, hold firmly and steadily for 2 minutes as you breathe deeply.
